Project in Work

After the consultation, the work can begin. Once I receive the required information, I will complete my first round of edits, create your chart(s) or pattern, or get your test up and running, depending on what work is agreed upon. I will communicate with you throughout the process to get any clarification needed to ensure you are satisfied with the final outcome.

For technical editing, sometimes multiple rounds of edits are needed. If this is the case, you can expect to receive communication from me at each stage to update you and receive any clarification needed to move onto the next stage.

Final Product

Once complete, you will receive your final product, along with the invoice for the work. Payments can be made through PayPal and are due 2 weeks from receipt.

Technical Editing - Pricing is determined by the difficulty level of the pattern. The following criteria can be used as a guide to determine the cost but the final judgement will be made by me. The price will be determined after an initial view of the pattern.

  • Basic : $30-$45

    • Simple shapes, colorwork and stitches

    • Single size

    • 1 chart max

  • Intermediate: $50-$70

    • 2-4 sizes

    • Slightly more in depth stitches

    • More involved/complex pattern

    • Basic cables or lace work

    • 3 chart max

  • Advanced: $75+

    • 5+ sizes

    • Complex cable or lace work

    • Complex colorwork

    • Complex stitches

    • 4+ charts

Pattern Testing - Pricing is based on the length that the test will run. I will work with you to determine the ideal test length to give the quickest turn around while still allowing ample time for testers to provide thorough and accurate feedback.

  • 2 weeks: $30

  • 3-4 weeks: $50

  • 5-7 weeks: $75

  • 8+ weeks: $100

Chart Creation - Pricing is done on an hourly rate of $30/hr, charged in 15 minute increments and a minimum of 30 minutes.

Pattern Proof-Reading - $3/page

Formatting Help - $5/page
