About Me

Hello! My name is Cathryn and I'm so excited that you're here learning about who I am and what services I can offer! I'm in my 30’s and am from the Philadelphia area. I have an amazing husband and two wonderful daughters. My background is in mechanical engineering and program management with various companies. What I love about engineering and program management is taking a need and figuring out how to fulfill it, either with a from scratch solution or improving an existing solution. I love the problem solving aspect of it and seeing my finished products in use.

What I love about engineering plays directly into why I love knitting, crocheting, editing, and designing. I've been knitting since 2005 when my mom and I taught ourselves together. My grandmother was also an avid knitter and even though she was no longer able to knit by the time I came along, she has greatly contributed to my passion for knitting. In 2009 a friend taught me the basics of crocheting and I fell in love with the ability to shape and change the piece as you go in a very different way from knitting. Since learning the basics of both, I've completely run with them and have learned so many new techniques and I now design my own patterns!

In addition to my love of knitting and crocheting, I also love baking, traveling, and puzzles! Seeing the world and experiencing different cultures and foods is so eye opening and baking is a delicious way to share my creations.. This world has so much to offer and I want to take advantage of as much of it as possible!
